James Ross Dunmyer

James Ross Dunmyer, 50, of Vergennes, passed away at 5:40 A.M., Friday, September 26, 2003 at his residence.
James worked as a zoo keeper at Gatorama in Palmdale, Florida.  He was of the Pentecostal faith.  He was a member of Viet Now in Cambria, Illinois.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of Viet Nam.
He was born February 12, 1953 at Taylorville, IL, the son of James Riley and Carolyn J. (Trott) Dunmyer.
He married Sharon Kay Grammar on March 3, 1995 at Du Quoin and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Vergennes, six children - Joseph Daniel Dunmyer of Elkville, Rachel LL Barba of Du Quoin, Melissa Sue Dunmyer of Carbondale, John R. Hartman II of Perryville, MO, Tina Sumners of Perryville, MO, and Tracy Melton of Elkville, mother - Carolyn J. (Trott) Dunmyer Shaw of Du Quoin, six brothers - Jeffrey L. Dunmyer of Carbondale, Douglas J. Dunmyer of Du Quoin, David A. Dunmyer of Elkville, Dale E. Dunmyer of West Frankfort, Robert L. Irvin of Du Quoin, and William R. Irvin of Du Quoin, six sisters - LeAnna K. Clark of Harrick, IL, Jan E. Cloward of Price, UT, Cynthia A. Partin of Tamaroa, Deborah L. Falter of Elkville, Karen S. Pohlmeier of Bondurant, IA, and Sarah E. Falter of Elkville, and thirteen grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorial services wrtr held at 6:30 P.M., Tuesday, September 30, 2003 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin and were conducted by the family.
